About VentGuard

VentGuard Home Services is a referral service. We are not a contractor and we do not perform work in your home. What we do is match homeowners with independent, licensed local technicians who specialise in the three jobs we cover — and then stay out of the way.

Why we exist

These three services share a problem: they are bought once every few years, the homeowner has no way to judge quality, and the category is full of coupon offers that turn into four-figure quotes in the hallway. That combination attracts exactly the wrong kind of operator.

Our answer is not to promise that we are the good ones. It is to be specific in public about what these jobs actually involve, what they should cost, and when you do not need them at all. Our advice section says plainly that the EPA has never found duct cleaning prevents illness — which costs us bookings, and is the point.

How we choose technicians

We check licensing and insurance where the state requires it, we confirm they carry the right equipment for the job rather than a shop vacuum, and we require that the price is agreed with you before work starts. If a technician adds charges a homeowner did not approve, we stop sending them work.

How we make money

The technician pays us for the introduction. You do not pay us anything, and the price you are quoted is set by the contractor, not by us. We think you should know this before you fill in a form, which is why it is on this page rather than in the small print.
