Is air duct cleaning the same as dryer vent cleaning?
No. Air duct cleaning concerns the ducts connected to your heating and cooling system. Dryer vent cleaning concerns the separate exhaust route from your clothes dryer to the outside. Choose the relevant service, or explain both needs to the contractor.
Does a duct cleaning quote include the whole HVAC system?
Do not assume it does. Ask which supply ducts, return ducts, registers and equipment components are included. Confirm the number of systems covered and whether coils, blower cleaning or additional treatments cost extra.
Can I request an assessment after renovation work?
Yes. Describe the work completed, any dust you have noticed and how the system was protected. The contractor can discuss an assessment and explain whether cleaning is appropriate. A renovation alone does not establish that your ducts need cleaning.
