Who we are

What we collect

When you submit a quote request we collect your name, phone number, ZIP code, the service you asked about, and your email address if you give it. We also record the page you submitted from, your IP address, your browser's user agent, and the date and time.

We record that last group specifically so that we can evidence your consent to be contacted if it is ever questioned. It is kept for that purpose, not used to build a profile of you.

What we do with it

We share your request with one or more independent contractors who serve your area and perform the service you asked about, so that they can contact you and quote for the work. That sharing is the service — it is what you are asking us to do by submitting the form.

Once your details are with a contractor, that contractor is an independent business and handles your information under their own policies. We do not control what they do with it, and we recommend asking them directly if that matters to you.

We also use service providers who process data on our behalf — hosting, database, and email delivery. They act on our instructions and do not use your information for their own purposes.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information to data brokers, list compilers, or anyone other than the contractors matched to your request. We do not use your phone number for marketing unrelated to the request you submitted.

Marketing and calls

By submitting a request you agree that the matched contractor may contact you by phone, text or email about it, including by automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling the contractor directly, or by emailing us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To make a request, email hello@ventguardhome.com with the phone number you submitted so we can locate your record. We respond within 45 days.

One limitation worth stating plainly: if we have already passed your request to a contractor, we can delete our copy but we cannot delete theirs. You would need to contact them.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and the associated consent records are kept for five years. That length is deliberate: the federal statute of limitations for the telephone consumer protection claims the consent record exists to answer is four years.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technology for basic site function and to measure which advertising brings people here, including tools provided by Meta Platforms. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
